May 17,2025

Dear MNA Members,

As you are aware, the MNA has been supporting residents of the Mariposa Community since it was founded in 2019.   Since then, the MNA has worked diligently with residents, management companies and the MCA board.  A review of the current situation in Mariposa brought us to a decision point.   During the board meeting on May 6th, serious discussions were held on the future of the MNA.  After hearing from all the members present, a motion was passed unanimously to dissolve the MNA permanently.

The voting results were shared at the 2nd Quarter MNA meeting on May 8, 2025.   During this meeting with our membership, each of the board members provided different aspects of the following:

1. Historical perspective of why they joined

2. Their personal opinions of the relationship between the community and BOD.

3. The goals the MNA was established to achieve.

4. Social Media and its effects on the community

5. Each board member discussed why they were resigning from the board and why each voted to pass the motion.    In summary, manufactured conflicts, harassment, and incorrect information posted on social media have hindered the MNA’s ability to hold productive meetings and plan effectively for the community's needs.

Also, the recent addition of the BFAC (Budget Finance Advisory Committee) and upcoming resident-led committees is a long-overdue improvement that will strengthen oversight, enhance communication, and foster collaboration with the MCA Board.

The full dissolution of the MNA will take place over the next 90 to 120 days.   We shared at the May 8th meeting that the current balance of all MNA accounts amounts to around $4300. A Dissolution Committee will be appointed and tasked with developing proposals on how to disperse these funds as outlined by the MNA Bylaws and all other applicable laws. We hope that at least some of these funds can be used for the betterment of Mariposa.

The MNA Board sincerely thanks each resident for their support and confidence in the organization’s ability to achieve its goals.

Best Regards,

MNA Board of Directors
